Ahmed Faraz

During the military regime of General Zial-ul-Haq, Ahmed Fraz – an eminent progressive poet – was exiled from the Sindh province, removed from his job, banned from the state-run television PTV, and Radio Pakistan. He, much like other progressive writers, thinkers, and activists, inevitably had to move into self-exile in England.
